Description:
Porcelain dish with incised, underglaze blue and overglaze yellow decoration. This unusual dish is quite deep with an everted rim and a foot ring. It is incised with a full-frontal dragon prancing on its rear legs in the centre and with two dragons both chasing their flaming pearls in the cavetto. The dragons are painted with a deep yellow enamel on the biscuit contrasting against a blotchy underglaze blue ground. The base is incised with a six-character Jiajing reign mark.
