Comments:Published PDF date : Northern Song-Jin 12th-13thC Room 95 label text:PDF A66Dish with celadon glazeJun wares were made in many kilns throughout Junzhou prefecture (modern Yuxian) in Henan province. Jun wares have relatively coarse stoneware bodies and are quite heavily potted. In the Northern Song (AD 960–1127) and Jin dynasties (AD 1115–1234) they appear to have been popular rather than imperial wares. Jun wares are characterised by opalescent blue, purple or as here even green glazes.
