Description:
This finely-potted incised porcelain dish is painted in a palette of aubergine, emerald green, mint green, and white enamels on a yellow ground. In the centre are two five-clawed dragons among clouds, fighting over aflaming pearl. Surrounding them in the cavetto are eight plant motifs: lotus, ?, peony, ?, prunus, camellia, chrysanthemum and ?. Outside are four further five-clawed dragons each chasing their own flaming pearl. The base bears a large six-character kangxi reign mark in a double ring in underglaze blue.
