Here two boys are shown chasing ducks within a garden with a different flower in each of the ten panels in the inner wall. Chinese ceramics are not individually crafted but were made using production line processes. Potting, decorating, glazing and firing were all carried out by different teams of artisans. The social status of these craftsmen was low and few records pertaining to them survive. They were engaged in the agricultural process during part of the year and produced ceramics seasonally. Reusable ceramic moulds sped up production at the Ding kilns encouraging economies of scale.Stoneware with moulded decoration, transparent glaze and copper rimDing ware定窯Quyang county, Hebei province河北省,曲陽縣Northern Song or Jin dynasty, about AD 1050–1234 PDF
