Description:
Cup. Coat of arms of Warre of Bradford in Somerset, formerly of Hestercombe in the same county. The tinctures have been reversed and should be “Gules crusilly fitchee argent a lion rampant of the last”; crest, “Out of a ducal coronet or a griffin’s head argent”. The service was probably made for William Warre (died 1779), but possibly for his brother John who died in 1784. Made of enamelled porcelain.
