Yixing stoneware cup in form of half peach stone, with underside deeply scored like a peach stone. The cup has a brown, biscuit-fired body and bluish-grey glaze on the interior. There is an inscription incised into the rim.

Inside it is decorated with an opalescent jun-style glaze and outside it is biscuit fired and scored to represent the outside of a peach stone. Around the inner rim is an inscription written in three different scripts. 西王母賜漢武桃, 宣和殿 Xiwangmu ci Han Wu tao Xuanhedian.This can be translated as: ‘Xiwangmu bestowed a peach upon the emperor Wudi of the Han dynasty’, ‘Xuanhe Hall.’ Followed by the date: 庚子年甲申月丁酉日記 Gengzi nian jiashen yue dingyou ji, ‘Recorded on the cyclical day dingyou of the cyclical month jiashen in the cyclical year gengzi’, and ‘Made by the hand of the old man who loves leisure’.Stoneware with blue glaze Yixing ware宜興窯Yixing, Jiangsu province 江蘇省, 宜興縣Qing dynasty, dated equivalent to AD 1840 PDF A84鈞釉像生半開桃核此器造型仿半開桃核。內部施仿鈞乳濁釉，外壁無釉素燒，並刻痕以模仿桃核。內口沿環繞一周銘文，以三種不同字體書就。“西王母賜漢武桃，宣和殿”，意為西王母于宣和殿賞賜蟠桃給漢代的武帝。“庚子年甲申月丁酉日記”，意為於庚子年甲申月丁酉日記錄。第三處文字意為一位喜愛悠閒的老人親手製作。炻器，藍色釉宜興窯江蘇省宜興縣（今宜興市）清代，紀年相當1840年
