Description:
Two porcelain cups with almost rectangular mouth rim created by four neatly-cut flutes. Covered in transparent yellow glaze applied directly to the biscuit. Incised dragon on each side outside and flaming pearl inside on the bottom. Base also glazed yellow, with inscription.

Potters fired the it twice, first at a porcelain temperature of around 1280 to 1320 °C to fix the underglaze blue mark and transparent glaze and then in a second, lower-temperature firing to vitrify the lead-fluxed, iron-pigmented glaze. The base has an apocryphal four-character underglaze blue reign mark of the Chenghua period.
