Description:
Pair of porcelain cups with tall sides and slightly everted mouth rim. Cup ‘a’ has a scene from the ‘West Chamber’ (Xixiang Ji) of Cui Yingying seeing off Scholar Zhang with a maid serving wine in a garden landscape in underglaze cobalt blue on the exterior. There is an inscription on the base. Cup ‘b’ has a scene from the ‘West Chamber’ (Xixiang Ji) of Scholar Zhang glimpsing Cui Yingying, and the monk Facong telling Zhang who she is, all in a garden landscape in underglaze cobalt blue on the exterior. There is an inscription on the base.
