Description:
Cong of greenish-yellowish jade, with russet veining and inclusions, and some earth encrustation. This thinly executed cylinder has four squared-off sections at the corners, each section consisting of two layers of masks carved in low relief. The upper mask has two raised bands above lozenge-shaped eyes, with a smaller band representing a mouth above, another raised band and finally the lower mask, which is similarly decorated except for its simply round eyes.
