Comments:This piece was purchased in 1986. It has been on display in the HSBC Money Gallery from 1995/96, and the Citi Money Gallery since 2012. In July 2012 贾林蓉 Penny Jia (China) questioned its authenticity, suggesting that it may be a cast copy of a genuine piece, perhaps made in the Republican period (early 20th century). She provided images of two genuine pieces in support of her argument: (1) (华夏古泉网图片,2009年日本拍卖品,被台湾买家购得) — from an auction in Japan, purchased by a Taiwanese buyer. http://www.hxgqwcom/hxgq/show/goods_10485.html(2) (华夏古泉网图片:中国钱币博物馆藏品) — in the collection of the China Numismatic Museum. http://www.hxgqwcom/hxgq/show/goods_23385.html
