Description:
A brocaded cloth; the ‘apron’ of a lama / priest’s breast ornament? Wider at bottom than top. Made from cream brocaded cloth with chrysanthemum motifs (satin silk ground, gold applied to paper (?) strips). Stripes of scarlet red (inner), orange and blue (outer) silk brocaded cloth on each side. Solid blocks of silk fringing at hemline: blue, green and brown and tones of pink. Red tabby cotton tie (smaller one at top; damaged) stitched to waistline and 44 cms from waistline on right side (as worn); left ones missing. ‘Apron’ lined with same material.
