Description:
A cloth; rectangular, and made from polychrome satin silk cloth, with a blue tabby cotton cloth stitched transversely at mid-point on one side. Silk cloth has central diamond brocaded pattern, worked in tones of green, blue and red. Bordered by orange brocaded silk cloth with parts of Chinese motifs discernible (inner) and blue/green silk brocaded cloth (outer). Lined with pink/red tabby cotton cloth. Stained, with one hole, revealing interlining made of natural cream tabby cotton cloth. Black wax seal with shield-shaped impression containing Chinese character on reverse where cotton sewn to silk cloth. Short sides have silk fringing in blocks of colour: beige, two tones of pink and three of green. Blue (indigo dyed?) cloth hand stitched along one long and the short side; other long side a selvedge.
