Comments:Harrison-Hall 2001:The thickly potted form and inverted rim are characteristic of the late Ming, Wanli to Chongzhen period. This form of censer is also known with both blue and brown monochrome grounds with white slip decoration. An example with a brown ground showing two confronting dragons chasing a flaming pearl is in the Osterreichisches Museum fur angewandte Kunst, Vienna.
