Ribbed cylindrical porcelain censer on three legs with underglaze blue and overglaze polychrome enamels in ‘wucai’ style. This censer stands on three cabriole legs and has a ribbed cylindrical body. The legs are perforated, for the escape of gases during firing, and are ornamented with underglaze blue monster masks. Strings of spiral patterns in single colours of red, green, yellow and underglaze blue adorn the ribs, with classic scroll at the base, rim and top. It is glazed crudely inside and the base is marked with a six-character Wanli reign mark in a single roundel.
