Description:
Covered box with moulded decoration beneath a dark green glaze with traces of red pigment. This covered box is faceted on the tray and cover with eight panels separated by raised clay ribs. The top of the cover is flat with a relief-moulded design of a tree peony in a double bracket-lobed medallion. Inside the panels are cartouches framing a moulded honeycomb design. It is coated inside and out with a dark green lead glaze much damaged by the sea and shows traces of red lacquer.
