Description:
‘Blanc de Chine’ box with moulded decoration and traces of glaze. This round box is mould made with relief decoration of a chrysanthemum growing from a rock on the lid encircled by a double raised band; the edges of the lid and the sides of the tray are fluted. The monochrome white glaze has been much eroded by the sea and has a dull grey cast. The tray is glazed inside but the cover is not glazed.
