Description:
Round porcelain box with cover decorated in underglaze blue. This circular box has rounded sides, a domed cover and tapering foot. Two phoenix are shown in a double ring on the cover with a background of dense lotus and with a border of further lotus scrolls. The tray shows a phoenix and dragon pursuing each other with a background of dense lotus scroll. On the base is a six-character Jiajing reign mark in a double ring.
