Description:
Porcelain bowl with liner decorated in overglaze red, turquoise and black enamels. This bowl has deep rounded sides with a tapering foot and a large hole in the base. Inside is a shallow internal liner which leaves a gap between it and the walls of the outer bowl. The bowl is covered with a matte glaze and is decorated inside the rim with a wide band of reserved white flower heads with a red central pistil, on a ground of turquoise waves, outlined in black. Outside two fish dragons with wings and fins in place of legs and claws each pursue flaming pearls over waves in red, turquoise, green and black enamels. Above is a zigzag border. The foot is encircled with a band of turquoise enamel and the base is glazed.
