Description:
This small bowl has rounded sides, a 饅頭mantou [lit: steamed bread bun ie raised] centre and stands on a footring. Outside it is decorated in underglaze blue and iron-red with a stylised lotus scroll and around the rim with the Eight Treasures of Buddhism: wheel of the law, lotus, canopy, fan, parasol, lidded jar, twinned fish and endless knot in iron-red. The base bears a six character underglaze blue mark.
