Comments:Bencharong, meaning “five colours”, was the name given to this type of porcelain enamelled with three to eight colours. This term derives from the Sanskrit ‘pancha’ meaning five and ‘ranga’ meaning colour. These wares were produced from the late 18th to 20th century.
