Description:
Large porcelain Lianzi [lotus-seed] bowl with incised and moulded anhua decoration beneath a monochrome white glaze. This large deep lianzi [lotus-seed] bowl has flaring sides and stands on a straight foot ring. Inside it is faintly decorated with a moulded anhua flower scroll which is almost invisible to the naked eye. Outside it is incised with lotus petals radiating from the foot and with a key-fret border around the rim. The base is marked with a six-character underglaze blue Xuande reign mark. The glaze on the base is very white but elsewhere it has a bluish tinge.
