Description:
This pair of small porcelain bowls has sides which flare to the rim and low foot rings. Their covers are shallow with a foot ring so that they will stand on a table when removed. Both bowls and covers are decorated in famille rose enamels on a café au lait ground with butterflies hovering above flowering bushes. The bases and lids bear iron-red marks of a bat hovering above a peach. The gilding on the rims is now worn off..
