It is covered with a bright green glaze ground and with cut out gold foil which was incised and fired at a low temperature. This decorative technique is known by the Japanese term 金襴手 (kinrande ‘gold brocade style’). The gold wears away from the porcelain which is why so much of the detail is missing. The base carries an underglaze blue mark which reads效嘉靖乙丑愛愚置造 (xiao Jiajing yichou Aiyu zhizao ‘made in the yichou year of Jiajing [AD 1565] by Aiyu as an act of service’)Porcelain with underglaze cobalt-blue, green glaze and gilding Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province 江西省, 景德鎮Ming dynasty, Jiajing period, dated equivalent to AD1565 PDF A550“金襴手”三仙人紋碗此碗內部繪三位仙人，外壁以明亮的綠釉為地，以描金為飾，並低溫燒成。這種裝飾技法在日本被稱作“金襴手”（Kinrande）。金彩易磨損，因此紋飾多有脫落。外底署青花年款“效嘉靖乙丑愛愚置造”（意為愛愚於嘉靖乙丑年，即1565年效力製作）。瓷器，青花款，綠釉，金彩江西省景德鎮明代，嘉靖，紀年為1565年
