Description:
Porcelain bowl with underglaze blue decoration. This bowl has rounded sides which step into the foot ring, an out-turned rim and a tapering foot. It is decorated inside in underglaze blue with a flower head in a double ring and with a rim border of cross-hatching and dots, outside with a band of continuous lotus scroll with spindly stems and spiky blooms.

Comments:Harrison-Hall 2001:The blurred blue and thin-stemmed lotus are typical of Zhengde period porcelains. The body is also thicker than later sixteenth-century ‘min yao’ pieces.
