Description:
Porcelain bowl with liner and underglaze blue decoration. This bowl has rounded sides and a low foot with a porcelain liner attached 1 cm below the rim. The base has a hole in the centre. Inside it is painted in dark blue outlines and a mid-blue wash with Budai Hesheng (see BM 1937.0113.1), identified by his loose robes, protruding stomach and sack, superimposed on the character ‘shou’ [longevity]. Outside are three ‘lingzhi’ sprays.
