Comments:Room 95 label text:PDF B631Dish with figures in a landscapePotters achieved a new purity of porcelain clay and a new delicacy in vessel shapes at the imperial kilns in the Chenghua era. Improvements were made in the preparation of the cobalt so that the underglaze blue designs appear more even than in earlier periods. Outside this dish is painted with three scenes: three gentlemen in a garden landscape, an elegant building enveloped in clouds and two small boys with a zither.
