Porcelain bowl. Underglaze blue with band of scrolling hibiscus flowers with star-shaped leaves around outside and similar band around inside cavetto. Roundel in centre with large flower head in double circle. There is an inscription on the base.

Improvements were made in the preparation of the cobalt so that the underglaze blue designs appear more even than in earlier periods. Surviving palace bowls are known in twelve different floral patterns. This bowl is a Qing dynasty copy of a Chenghua palace bowl made in the early eighteenth century. The base has an apocryphal six-character underglaze blue Chenghua reign markPorcelain with underglaze cobalt-blue decoration Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province 江西省, 景德鎮Qing dynasty, about AD 1700–1730 PDF B699纏枝花卉紋宮碗成化時期,御窯陶工們淘練瓷土純凈達到新高度,器形製作也前所未有地精巧。鈷料的製備工序得以改進,繪製圖案所用青花比之前更為均勻。現存宮碗已知有十二種不同的花卉圖案設計。本碗為清代十八世紀早期仿燒成化的宮碗。外底署青花六字成化寄托年款。瓷器,青花江西省景德鎮清代,約1700–1730年
