Description:
Ribbed-neck porcelain bottle with ‘fahua’-type decoration. The neck of this thickly potted pear-shaped bottle is ribbed to evoke a stem of bamboo. Branches of blossoming prunus are outlined in raised slip, emanating from the base of the neck. Turquoise, pale aubergine and transparent glaze leak over the raised slip cells, blurring the design.
