Description:
Gourd-shaped porcelain bottle with red enamel reserved on an overglaze green ground. This gourd-shaped bottle is decorated in the upper, middle and lower sections with formal lotus scrolls and with a band of scroll work below the waist, all in red enamel on a green enamel ground. These sections are separated with white lines with no decoration, revealing the white porcelain body beneath a transparent glaze. The mouth rim is edged with red enamel. Inside the recessed base is a six-character Jiajing reign mark in a double ring in underglaze blue.
