Description:
Porcelain bottle with a broad garlic-bulb-shaped mouth, toffee-coloured glaze and slip decoration. This stumpy bottle has a broad garlic-bulb-shaped mouth and stands on a low foot ring. It is covered with a rich toffee-coloured glaze and further decorated with thick crackled white slip, showing, on either side, basins filled with rocks and large peonies. Lion masks and mock ring handles are painted on both sides at the shoulder and alternating fruiting peach sprays and ‘ruyi’ symbols with beading are depicted around the neck. It has a crackled white glaze inside and the base is glazed in a toffee colour.
