Comments:Rawson 1995:Belt hooks in jade appeared first in the Eastern Zhou period. Two distict forms were used: hooks made only of jade and hooks of jade sections supported on gold, bronze or iron armature. Garment hooks in ancient form have come from a variety of Yuan tombs and they are generally rather ornate, with birds heads. A small delicate example with a duck head is reported from a site at Suzhou in Jiangsu. See also BM 1955.0718.39 and BM 1955.0718.37.An extra label “1469”
