Comments:Rawson 1995:Beads were one of the staples of jade carving from the Neolithic period, and numerous examples have come from Liangzhu sites. Like many other jades they seem on occasions to have survived for long periods. For instance, a number of beads with slightly flared sides, found in the tomb of Fu Hao, may belong to a much earlier period. Therefore, beads survived over very long periods of time and are difficult to date.
