Description:
The head is 10 cm in height and 35 cm in width, with a 6.6 cm long suspension loop in plain weave. The triangular infill is of undyed plain weave with a painted floral pattern. The border is of blue plain weave with a red tuft attached to each side. The body panel is 43.1 cm in height and 14.3 cm in width with an ink-painted motif of birds holding flowers on a dark red plain weave damask. The side streamers of brownish-green gauze with lozenge pattern are in a fragmentary condition. Four bottom streamers (one is fragmented), each 3.3 cm in width, are made of an identical gauze to that used for the side streamers, with six silver-painted rosettes (each 4 cm in height) on each. The motif of ink-painted birds holding flowers was fairly common in the period after the middle and late Tang dynasty, and remained popular into the Five Dynasties. Similar examples can be seen on the costumes worn by the King of Khotan and female donors of Dunhuang Cave 98. Weaver structure: 1/1 plain weave. 此幡幡首高約10cm，寬約35cm，上釘一長約6.6cm的絹制袢扣。幡首中心爲一三角形本色絹片，彩繪花卉紋樣，兩側包縫一條藍色絹邊，各釘一紅色絲線流蘇；幡身長約43.1cm，寬約14.3cm，以暗紅色絹製成，其上墨繪鳥銜花枝紋樣，兩側幡帶以棕綠色菱紋羅製成，已殘損；幡足面料與幡帶相同，切成四條，每條寬約3.3cm，其中一條已殘斷，各繪高約4cm的銀花、鳥、山石等六朵。 此幡上的墨繪鳥銜花枝是唐代中晚期之後的常見圖案，在五代時期也十分流行。于闐國王和曹議金家族的女供養上服飾上有不少類似的圖案，風格極爲接近。 組織結構: 幡頭斜邊： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，40根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，25根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 幡頭三角形織物： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，本色，46根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，本色，34根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 幡帶： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，棕綠色，62根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，棕綠色，16根/cm；組織：四經絞羅地上起二經絞羅花。圖案循環：經向1.0釐米，緯向0.3釐米。 幡身： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，暗紅色，52根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，暗紅色，48根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 幡腳： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，棕綠色，62根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，棕綠色，16根/cm；組織：四經絞羅地上起二經絞羅花。圖案循環：經向1.0釐米，緯向0.3釐米。 懸袢： 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，本色，40根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，本色，28根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。
