Description:
This banner is preserved completely except for the left side border, which is mostly missing. A suspension loop, 4.7 cm long, is stitched to the top. The border of the head is sewn with two different fabrics: one samite with floret pattern on a blue ground and one green plain weave. It has a double-faced head or infill. The front is made from two pieces of samite: one with scrolls on a greenish blue ground, the other with medallions and a checked pattern on a white ground. The back is sewn with two pieces of the same fabric: dark brown twill damask with concentric diamonds. Two side streamers, of which only the right is complete, are made of plain woven blue silk, 3.2 cm wide. The three panels of the body are made of three different fabrics: blue plain weave, white damask on plain weave and red twill. The three lower streamers, 3.6 cm for each, are joined at the top and bottom, having been cut from a single piece of silk. The edges are rolled neatly with blue silk threads. A piece of blue plain weave, 6.7 cm high, is stitched to the upper edge of the lower streamers. At the bottom is a trapeze-shaped weighting board with floral pattern painted on both sides, 3.8 cm high. Weave structures: 1. Weave structure: 4-2 patterning method on 1/1 plain weave. 幡形狹長，保存較爲完整。其幡首上方釘縫一藍色絹制懸袢，兩條幡首斜邊以不同的面料製成，左邊爲藍地花卉紋樣的遼式斜紋緯錦，右邊則由綠色素絹製成；雙層幡面，正面由一塊三角形藍綠色地卷草紋緯錦和一塊呈梯形的方格紋朵花紋錦拼縫而成，反面則由兩塊褐色暗花綺拼縫而成，均爲同心菱格紋樣；幡首兩側各縫有一條幡帶，以藍色素絹製成，右側幡帶保存較爲完整，左側基本不存；幡身由三塊長方形面料拼縫而成，從上到下分別爲藍色絹、白色菱格紋綺和紅色素綾；共有三條寬約3.6cm的幡足，其上下兩端仍相互連在一起，在製作時由一塊藍色絹切割而成，上端拼縫一塊藍色絹面料，下端置於一梯形懸板中，懸板上繪有花卉紋裝飾圖案，幡足兩側卷邊，以同色絲線撬邊。 組織結構： 1. 藍色絹懸袢 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，26根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，14根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 2. 藍地花卉紋錦幡頭斜邊 經線：明經：絲，S撚，單根排列，淺棕色，22根/cm；夾經：絲，S撚，單根排列，淺棕色，22根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，藍、紅、白、黃綠色，17副/cm；組織：五枚緞紋遼式緯重組織。 3. 綠色絹幡頭斜邊 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，綠色，36根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，綠色，22根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 4. 藍綠色地卷草紋緯錦幡面 經線：明經：絲，無撚，單根排列，淺棕色，16根/cm；夾經：絲，無撚，單根排列，淺棕色，16根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，藍綠、紅色，10副/cm；組織：1/2S斜紋遼式緯重組織。 5. 白地小寶花紋錦幡面 經線：明經：絲，無撚，單根排列，淺紅色，20根/cm；夾經：絲，無撚，單根排列，淺紅色，20根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，白、紅、綠色，21副/cm；組織：1/2Z斜紋遼式緯重組織。 6. 藍色絹幡身 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，47根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，33根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 7. 白色菱格紋綺幡身 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，白色，45根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，白色，28根/cm；組織：1/1平紋地上以2-2並絲組織形成3/1S不規則斜紋組織起花。 8. 紅色綾幡身 經線：綿線，Z撚，單根排列，紅色，34根/cm；緯線：綿線，Z撚，單根排列，紅色，28根/cm；組織：2/2Z斜紋。 9. 藍色絹幡腳 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，29根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，藍色，18根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 10. 深藍色絹幡帶 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，深藍色，18根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，深藍色，31根/cm；組織：1/1平紋。 11. 褐色菱格紋綺幡面 經線：絲，無撚，單根排列，褐色，56根/cm；緯線：絲，無撚，單根排列，褐色，18根/cm；組織：1/1平紋地上以4-2並絲組織起花。
