Description:
Baby carrier; made of two rectangles of cloth with a stiff stuffing of unknown material. Straps made of doubled-over cloth with thin ties sewn on ends. Decoration from outside to centre in six sections: i) binding of shiny green and bought brocade; ii) bought printed cloth; iii) two layers of bought ribbon in white and blue on purple with Chinese type motif; iv) central area of wax resist with rectangles framed with bands of fine lines and intricate interior patterning of lobed shapes; v) attached ‘silver’ dangles; vi) with metal bells on chains hanging from six pressed half-circles with Chinese characters.
