Comments:The axe is comparable to 317a but the cutting rim has been well sharpened with the sides having straight cut edges. Neolithic. This axe is of an elongated, almost oval shape, with a rounded cutting edge and sloping sides. The butt end is roughly finished. A small hole, which is off centre, has been drilled from one side; the other has been pecked, leaving a slightly chipped area. One side of the axe is flat, the other convex. The surfaces are polished to a good gloss. See Rawson 1995, p.174, cat.no.10.9.
