Description:
A married woman’s apron, a ‘bamdian’, polychrome bands (ties missing). Made from three equal sized pieces of weft faced tabby woven woollen cloth with very narrow stripes (that do not line up): yellow, red, or green alternating with blue bands. At each bottom corner is an applied triangular piece of red tabby woollen cloth (with nap), commercial. Small blue starburst motifs embroidered on cloth. Triangle piped with pale blue tabby cotton cloth. Some former insect damage to red cloth.
