Description:
Amulet box (g’au); decorated on the outer face with the Eight Auspicious Symbols, plus (at top) Wish-fulfilling Gem and (below) Kirttimukha. Two deer flanking the Wheel of the Law appear at the base of the opening to the chamber. Stored in a crimson felt and corduroy cover, fixed with three metal buttons. Inside the chamber is a card of the thousand-armed, eleven-headed Avalokiteśvara, and a katag (ceremonial scarf). The sides of the g’au bear lugs for attaching it to a belt. Made for male use.
