Description:
Clay apmhora with a decoration of appliqué figures. The vessel was wheel-thrown and decorated with moulded symmetrical patterns on the outside. Additionally, a total of four clay plaques and figures were applied. Two plaques in the shape of a human face with bulging eyes, a broad nose and rounded ears adorned with earrings were applied to the body of the vessel. The upper part of the two handles was decorated with two figures, one lion and one monkey.

Comments:The different colours of the clay used for the body of the vase and the appliqués suggest that the vessel itself is of a more modern date and was decorated with older appliqués found in the area around Yotkan.
