Pink Color Suichao Baby Playing Fruit Plate, Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, with a height of 10cm, a caliber of 63cm, and a foot diameter of 35cm

This plate is porcelain for the Tongzhi Emperor’s wedding. There are a hundred children in the mural on the large plate, who either set off firecrackers, or play suona, flute, drum, or pull elephant carts, play dragon lanterns, or run dry boats. The auspicious themes such as “auspicious and abundant”, “peaceful and auspicious”, “five blessings and longevity offering”, “five sons winning the championship”, “crown belt spreading”, “kylin giving birth”, and “dragon and phoenix presenting good fortune” are vividly reflected, and the festive atmosphere is everywhere exaggerated. The outer wall of the plate is covered with yellow glaze, and a dragon and a phoenix are painted on both sides of a red sun. Between the heads and tails of the dragon and phoenix, there is a red character “Happiness”. In the Tongzhi wedding utensils, in addition to the glaze color and patterns that symbolize happiness and auspiciousness, the styles on the bottom also have festive colors, such as “Yan Xi Tong He” and “Auspicious Ruyi”. They are mostly written in red color, echoing each other with the glaze, and together set off the theme of peace and joy
