This treasure text is the “Treasure of Empress Dowager Ci’an Duan Yu” in Manchu and Chinese seal scripts. It is a badge treasure made by Emperor Tongzhi when he gave the Empress Dowager Ci’an a badge. Empress Dowager of Emperor Duanyu of Ci’an, the surname Niuhulu, and the daughter of Muyanga in Youjiang Road, Guangxi, served at the Qiandi when Emperor Xianfeng became the emperor’s son. In the second year of Xianfeng (1852), he was granted the title of a concubine of chastity, and soon after that, he was granted the title of a concubine of chastity in the Jin Dynasty, and later became queen. Emperor Tongzhi succeeded to the throne and was honored as Queen Mother. In the year of Tongguang, he and Empress Dowager Cixi once hung over the curtain to listen to the government twice. In the seventh year of Guangxu’s reign (1881), he collapsed and died. During the reign of Tongguang, its emblem was repeatedly superimposed. When Emperor Tongzhi ascended the throne, he was honored as the Empress Dowager and added the emblem “Ci’an”. In the 11th year of Tongzhi’s reign (1872), Emperor Tongzhi also added the emblem “Duanyu” when he married.
