The pot has a round ball shape, a straight neck, a flat lid, a curved flow, and a round handle. The lid and mouth of the pot are tightly bonded and tightly knit. The sand mud is dark purple, smooth and delicate. The word “Ji’an” is engraved under the handle. The four character poem engraved in the pot belly reads: “Pour in the sweet spring, and the clear cold pours on it. First spring dew buds, one gun and one flag. It is advisable to cook with animal charcoal and live fire. Su Ou is used as a match, and consider carefully.” The signature reads: “Xianfeng Renzi’s winter journey is made by the master of Hengtang. Engraved with the seal of “Ding Di Qing Reward”
“Xianfeng Renzi” refers to the second year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1852). “Xing You Heng Tang” is a famous Tang fund dedicated to the Qing Dynasty emperor Zaiquan. Zaiquan’s main activities were during the Daoguang and Xianfeng periods, and he was the author of “Xing You Heng Tang Collection”.
