Colored ocean pattern serge, late Qing Dynasty (19th century), 154 cm long, with two pieces each 63/60 cm wide. European weaving
The serge material is a combination of two pieces and is a twill fabric of coarse wool yarn. The warp thread is worsted wool yarn, and the weft thread is worsted wool yarn. After weaving, the ground color and pattern are printed and dyed in green, red, and yellow
This coarse serge material is approximately used as a furniture cushion cover, and should be imported from the Qing Dynasty Palace
