Huanghua Pear Boguge

[Huanghuali Boguge]

Huanghuali Boguge, late Qing Dynasty, 112.5 cm high, 80 cm horizontal, and 32 cm vertical
This lattice is made of high-quality yellow pear wood. In a head-to-head manner, seven holes are opened on the front, one of which is for door installation, with staggered heights. The upper part is inlaid with carved flower teeth with a twist pattern, and the lower part is inlaid with a bottle column railing. Two doors are opened in the middle of the lower part of the lattice, and the door center plate is symmetrically embossed with plum blossoms. There is a small drawer inside the door. Install the lower teeth of the hanging cloud pattern hollow hall between the legs. On both sides of the grid are four sections of woven frames inlaid with taped ring plates, embossed with the patterns of abducts and Bo Gu
This wooden lattice is based on traditional Chinese woodwork practices and decorative styles, with the exception of the bottle column railings embedded in the lower part of the openings that have a Western flavor. This type of work is mostly produced by the wooden works of the Qing Palace Fabrication Office.
