One of the giant seals often used on the tablet of Empress Dowager Cixi’s imperial pen is usually matched with the two seals “Treasure of Empress Dowager Cixi’s Imperial Brush” and “Peace, Benevolence, and Heaven and Earth Agree”, which are used in a group of three sides and side by side. “Counting the Heart of Plum Blossoms in Heaven and Earth” is a phrase derived from the poem “Four Seasons Reading and Music” by Weng Sen, a descendant of the Song Dynasty. The whole poem reads: “When a thousand cliffs are withered by falling wood and water, I can see the truth from the shining light. Sitting against a weaved lamp moving the wall, singing loudly at midnight, the frost presses down on the house. With a stove and a teapot cooking a lively fire, one can be called a scholar. Where can one find the joy of reading? Count the hearts of the plum blossom world.”
