Empress Dowager Cixi was one of the empresses of the Qing Dynasty who left the most ink marks. This precious seal is often used on his imperial calligraphy and painting. Empress Dowager Cixi’s imperial brushes are mostly ghostwriting, with calligraphic and plaque couplets written by authors such as Pan Zuyin and Zhang Renyi. The ghostwriters for paintings are Miao Jiahui and Qu Zhaolin
