Bamboo carved plum blossom pen holder

[Bamboo Carved Plum Blossom Penholder]

Bamboo Carved Plum Blossom Penholder, late Qing Dynasty, 10.4 cm high, 10.3 cm diameter
The pen holder is round, slightly flat, nearly crimson in color, with an inward sloping rim and three short feet. The surface of the utensil is embossed with folded branches and plum blossoms. Within the branches and flowers of the relief, the three-dimensional sense of the object image is highlighted by techniques such as yin carving and ground relief, with a style that is not lacking in detail and simplicity. “There is a five-character rhythmic poem with a yin engraved running script on the body:
The first few calyxes are covered with snow, and it is difficult to draw a painting in isolation.”
There is a unique charm in the fragrance, and the pure knows nothing about the cold
Flute and worry, leaning against the stick
The new wind is as clear as the meaning, easy to be destroyed
and “support the mountain”.
