Songhua River Stone “Daoguang Yushang” Inkstone, clear Daoguang, 13.6cm long, 9.3cm wide, 1.5cm thick. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The inkstone is made of Songhua River stone and is rectangular. The stone texture is clear, and the horizontal green texture is light and alternating, like spring water and green waves, with a natural flavor. The surface of the inkstone is smooth, and the upper ink pool is carved with swirling patterns, perfectly blending with the texture of the inkstone. The back of the inkstone is filled with the four characters “Daoguang Imperial Appreciation” in the Zhu seal script. The inkstone is placed in a shaped inkstone box with a red sandalwood inlaid tooth frame at the bottom, and the box cover is made of Pao. In addition, the model poem reads:

This inkstone is exquisitely made, following the inkstone style of the mid Qing Dynasty, and is used by Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty as an imperial inkstone.
