[Red satin embroidered flower high soled shoes]
Red satin embroidered flower high soled shoes, Qingdaoguang, height 17 cm, length 19.5 cm. The old collection of the Qing Palace
Shoes for empresses in the Qing Dynasty. The upper is made of red satin, with multicolored silk threads embroidered with various flowers, green satin and small flower ribbons as decorations. The color is bright and the shoe pattern is beautiful. Influenced by the Manchu custom of cutting wood for shoes in the Qing Dynasty, the heels were made of wood, with a layer of white cotton cloth mounted on the outside. The shoes were sewn with a cloth sole, and a brown cotton strip was pressed between the upper and heel.
