The entire clock body consists of an outer clock shell and an inner movement. A fixed small wheel is installed in the center of the clock housing, which engages with the eccentric wheel in the movement. This is the only contact point between the clock and the movement. A weight is installed at the left rear of the two clamping plates of the movement. When the rolling bell is placed on a slope with an inclination of 10 °, the bell shell begins to roll downwards due to gravity, causing the central small wheel to rotate accordingly. However, due to the action of the weight, the movement still remains in its original state and does not run synchronously with the bell shell and the central small wheel, which keeps the eccentric wheel in the movement in a relatively static state. The dynamic source generated between the movement and the static state of the central small wheel and eccentric wheel is driven by the gear system in the motor core, which ingeniously solves the power source problem of the clock
The slope plate is 55 centimeters long, and the distance traveled by the rolling clock is exactly 24 hours. Regardless of the position of the rolling clock on the slope plate, the movement state remains unchanged, that is, the position of the dial at 12:00 and 6:00 always remains vertical. There are small teeth on the edge of the outer clamping plate of the bell housing to increase the friction between the bell body and the slope plate, ensuring that the bell body slides at a uniform speed.
